Apple appears to be changing gears from its previous Designed by Apple in California campaign following the release of the new iPhones. Apple’s latest full page ad is appearing in this week’s edition of the New Yorker and this time around focuses on the new fingerprint sensor and Touch ID feature on the gold iPhone 5s. The text from the ad reads: Apple’s previous Designed by Apple in California ads made a point of focusing on on its ecosystem and the people that use it rather than specific products, but it’s clear the focus has changed slightly now that it has new iPhones on the market....

One ambitious Marvel fan assembles all shots of Captain America’s ass in Avengers: Endgame. Chris Evans wrapped up his time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Steve Rogers aka Captain America in Avengers: Endgame. After helping to defeat Thanos, Captain America returned the Infinity Stones to their points in the timeline and stayed in the past to live out a life with Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell). Captain America’s ending with Peggy Carter has been heavily debated among fans, especially in terms of what it means for the timeline, but it’s just one way in which the Endgame writers and directors tried to give Cap an appropriate sendoff....

High Flying Bird doesn’t quite manage to change ’the game’ but, under Soderbergh and McCraney’s guidance, it certainly makes an entertaining go at it. One-man army director Steven Soderbergh’s never been particularly interested in playing by the rules. He helped revolutionize independent film in the early ’90s with sex, lies, and videotape, and for years after oscillated from commercial studio fare to experimental offerings (some successful, others not). Recently, following his - very - brief retirement, Soderbergh’s turned to shooting films on an iPhone 7, starting with his psycho-thriller Unsane....

The Marauder’s Map makes its first appearance in the third Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Fred and George gift the map to Harry to help him sneak into Hogsmeade (since poor Harry does not have a permission form signed by a parent or guardian). The twins have had the map for a few years after having nicked it from Filch’s office. But that is the extent of the history viewers are provided of the map, and the history of its creators is ignored entirely—in the movies, at least....

The book and film series Harry Potter contains some really excellent storytelling in a few different ways. Obviously the overarching saga of Harry Potter vs. Lord Voldemort is downright epic, but the complexity of their characters as well as the development of those characters over the course of the series is a huge reason why the franchise was so successful too. But with that said, sometimes there are people in this world, or in any fictional world, who just aren’t very complex....

Fred and George from Harry Potter might be two of the most beloved characters from the series. These twins were loved by fans from the start because they are mischievous, smart, and charismatic. While fans were devastated when Fred died at the Battle of Hogwarts, there will always be the hilarious, joyful moments of Fred and George getting into trouble to enjoy. These two were often messing around and breaking rules, and they also loved to pull a good prank or joke....

The Harry Potter universe is filled with many complex characters. While there are many heroes in the series, there are also a lot of compelling villains. Though Harry might be the main protagonist, there are many other characters that are central to the story. Whether these characters are the heroes or the villains, they all have times where they do things that aren’t so admirable. Even Harry has moments where he crosses lines or does something wrong....

Ng Wai “blitzchung” Chung, the Hearthstone pro at the center of the Blizzard controversy that has spiraled well beyond just one banning, has shared his updated thoughts on the company’s handling of the situation after he received a reduced punishment thanks to the huge amount of people rallying around his cause. The controversy began with blitzchung’s victory during the Hearthstone Grandmaster tournament, which featured a winner’s interview segment that featured the pro appearing on webcam and shouting “liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our age,” a reference to the tumultuous political climate in Hong Kong, the location of protests following a controversial legal proposal....

The newest Hearthstone solo adventure, Galakrond’s Awakening, is officially underway today and will offer the first chapter of the new campaign for free to all players. Hearthstone is experiencing a resurgence lately thanks to the extremely popular Hearthstone Battlegrounds, a spin on the auto chess genre that has enticed many fans away from competitors and into Blizzard’s combination card game and auto battler. Another reason Hearthstone has been more positively received over the last few months is the new Standard format that has managed to avoid the staleness that previous sets had set in rather quickly....

When it comes to the Hellboy comics, films and animated productions, there are plenty of things that don’t make sense about everyone, from the big red monkey himself to all of the humans in his life. Elizabeth Sherman is probably the most normal person among them all, but she also has plenty of skeletons in her closet, including some that make zero sense. Comic Liz varies greatly from Movie Liz, particularly in terms of her relationship with Hellboy himself....

The Hellboy reboot has received an official R rating for its graphic violence, among other things. Created in 1993, the Hellboy comic book character made the jump to the big screen under Guillermo del Toro’s direction in 2004. The Oscar-winning filmmaker later made a sequel (2008’s Hellboy II: The Golden Army) and had plans to make a trilogy finale for several years after. Sadly, for reasons that include the cost, del Toro’s Hellboy 3 was ultimately scrapped in favor of a less expensive reboot....

Earlier this week, Apple officially unveiled iOS 11 with a host of new features. The update brings things such as a redesigned Control Center, an all-new App Store, and much more. There are quite a few new HBO TV shows premiering in 2020. Subscribers can expect more of Westworld, Barry, and Euphoria over the course of the upcoming year, not to mention the debut of The New Pope - a continuation of The Young Pope storyline. But it’s the new TV shows that will further reinforce HBO as a popular destination for must-watch television. Game of Thrones was HBO’s primary draw in 2019....

The leaked firmware today continues to bear fruit. The iPhone 8, set to be announced on Tuesday, features a near bezel-less display with a cutout notch for front camera, earpiece and sensors. Now, Guilherme Rambo has found exactly how that will work. Harrison Ford doesn’t ever want anyone to replace him as Indiana Jones. Having played the charming archeologist for nearly 40 years, with yet another outing coming soon with the as-yet-untitled Indiana Jones 5, Ford has a firm stance on the character’s future. In 1981, Ford brought Indiana Jones to life in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Directed by Steven Spielberg, based on a story by George Lucas, and penned by Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back’s Lawrence Kasdan, the film was a love letter to old film serials from the 1930s, ultimately becoming a staple ’80s franchise that defined a generation....

The Harry Potter series has its fair share of romantic couples even if the series doesn’t focus on romance too much. While Ron and Hermione might be one of the main couples from the Harry Potter series, there are many people that don’t think they would have worked well together.
