WizardingWorld.com recently took the place of Pottermore, the previous official site of all things Harry Potter. Nearly a decade before Henry Cavill got his big break playing Superman in Man of Steel, he encountered Pinhead in horror sequel Hellraiser: Hellworld. We learned yesterday that Tim Cook almost pulled Uber from the App Store over the way it was tracking iPhones and tricking Apple engineers. Uber had seemingly found a way to ‘fingerprint’ individual iPhones even after the app was removed, and had taken steps to try to hide this behavior from Apple – one of many questionable business practices the ride hailing firm has made in recent years. The original NYT piece suggested that Uber was somehow able to track iPhones even after they had been erased, but well-connected John Gruber has come up with what seems like a more probable description of what the company was and wasn’t doing …...

HBO renews the television series Barry for season 3. Created by Alec Berg and Saturday Night Live alum Bill Hader, the dark comedy’s season 2 premiere recently aired on HBO, and the subsequent episodes will complement the final season of Game of Thrones through April and May. On Barry, Hader portrays the title character, a hitman trying to jumpstart his acting career in Los Angeles. Barry season 1 premiered in March 2018, and Hader ultimately won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series....

Frozen 2 is getting ready to deliver another hit ballad in a new TV spot, which offers a preview of Elsa’s song “Into the Unknown.” The sequel, directed once again by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, will see Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven leaving Arendelle to go on a journey to find out the origin of Elsa’s ice powers. A recently released report has suggested that the upcoming reboot of Hellboy was something of a nightmare behind the scenes, with rushed rewrites, conflicts between high-ranking staff members, and walkouts perpetrated by a principal cast member. This comes on the heels of a surprisingly negative reception from critics (including Screen Rant’s own review) as the film currently sits at 10% on Rotten Tomatoes.
