Of all the houses at Hogwarts, Gryffindor is the one that is most associated with bravery and chivalry. As such, it’s assumed that everyone in this house will always act with courage and that they won’t be cowardly. While many people sorted into Gryffindor are extremely brave, there are some that are less so than others. Westworld season 3 won’t premiere until 2020, HBO has now confirmed. Created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy and based (very) loosely on the 1973 Michael Crichton film of the same name, Westworld was a huge hit for HBO following its premiere in 2016. Largely set within a futuristic, Wild West-themed amusement park populated by androids known as “hosts,” Westworld follows a select group of the park’s guests and staff as they gradually come to realize that the hosts’ intelligence is far more advanced than it should be....

HBO CEO Richard Plepler shared today that the premium satellite and cable network will begin offering a web-only package sometime in 2015 as it attempts to gain new paid subscribers. A web-only offering for HBO (and other popular networks) is something cable cutters have wanted for years although many argued that the economics of the cable industry wouldn’t make the option feasible for the networks. Plepler, though, cited “the current ten million broadband-only homes” before announcing that HBO will launch “a stand-alone, over-the-top, HBO service” next year....

Insteon, Lutron, iHome, Elgato and Ecobee have all just announced that their HomeKit products are now officially available and/or shipping to customers. The announcements come on the heels of our report that Apple partners planned this week to launch the first products using the company’s new Siri-controlled HomeKit home automation platform, first introduced alongside iOS 8 last year. Insteon’s product is a hub that comes with a new app that will let customers control connected Insteon products, as well as other HomeKit-enabled products from other companies, including lights, door locks, color-changing bulbs, garage door openers, thermostats, and more....

Azkaban is not a place anybody in Harry Potter’s world wants to spend their time. In both the books and the movies, it’s a horrible place with stone-cold walls, hard floors, and is surrounded by the nasty Dementors who feed off human pain and suffering. The runtime for Neil Marshall’s Hellboy reboot, starring David Harbour as the demonic superhero, has been revealed to be exactly two hours. First introduced by creator Mike Mignola in 1993, the Dark Horse comics character Hellboy first made the leap to the big screen in 2004 with Guillermo Del Toro in the director’s chair and Ron Perlman portraying Hellboy himself. Del Toro and Perlman returned for a sequel, 2008’s Hellboy II: The Golden Army....

Although some devices in our network have been encrypted, our backups remain intact. Apple today introduced Apple Watch Series 6 and also Apple Watch SE with a variety of new watch faces. However, the company did not specify whether these new themes would be available for previous Apple Watch models as well. We can now confirm that the new watch faces are also coming for Series 4 and Series 5 users with watchOS 7. There are seven new watch face styles in watchOS 7, including the Chronograph Pro introduced with the beta version earlier this year....

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is without question the biggest selling playscript. The Haunting of Hill House actor Kate Siegel is now confirmed to appear in the horror series’ second season, The Haunting of Bly Manor. She joins her Hill House costars Victoria Pedretti, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and Henry Thomas as confirmed cast members for the Bly Manor season. All four of them will be playing different characters from the ones they brought to life in the show’s first installment. A re-imagining of Shirley Jackson’s beloved 1959 gothic horror novel of the same name, The Haunting of Hill House premiered on Netflix in October 2018....

USB-C first debuted in Macs last year with the 12-inch Retina MacBook, and this fall even more Macs are expected to adopt the new standard port. While the MacBook is a lightweight machine (both physically and in terms of workload), MacBook Pro uses will expect wider functionality without adapters if USB-C replaces ports available on current hardware. In the wake of Game of Thrones ending, HBO introduced viewers to a new fantasy story last fall: His Dark Materials. Based on Philip Pullman’s book series of the same name, the show isn’t nearly as violent or treacherous as Game of Thrones (at least not yet) – but it did present viewers with an all-new world and magic system to contend with. With such things comes a number of questions, and while the first season did answer some of the viewers’ most pressing queries, its final episodes left them wondering what comes next....
