I solemnly swear that I am up to no good. Everyone knows that Fred and George Weasley are two of the most legendary pranksters to have ever enrolled at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Their penchant for causing strife perhaps outmatches that of Messrs. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs; the original trouble-making gang of wizard teens. While the 8-part movie series was both magical and terrifying, intense and joyful, the films provide only a window into the world that is Harry Potter....

A Harry Potter fan theory has suggested that Hermione’s cat once belonged to the Potter family. Hermione took ownership of Crookshanks before beginning her third year at Hogwarts. Crookshanks was a highly intelligent cat that proved to be useful in exposing a key enemy. Crookshanks was a ginger feline with a lion-like appearance and bright yellow eyes. He was half-Kneazle, which meant he had the ability to detect untrustworthy individuals. The magical pet was also highly independent which made him the perfect pet to take along to Hogwarts....

Harry Potter and the Prisoner Of Azkaban sees the franchise start to take a darker turn. This is often a very underrated film within the series, however, it is one of the strongest movies of the lot and it is jam-packed with hidden details and Easter Eggs that many fans end up missing. The film is full of amazing moments, from Lupin’s first appearance and the teases beginning for Lord Voldemorts official return, there’s a lot going on....

Hogwarts is quite the place to learn your way around. It’s hard to hold students accountable for arriving at classes late when hundreds of staircases along the way like to change. Not all classes even take place in the castle, or in a classroom. Consider all the times Harry, Ron, and Hermione had to go to Care of Magical Creatures down by Hagrid’s hut in the cold and the snow. Potions may not have been the most fun classes, but there’s something to be said for its always being in the same place, and always being out of the weather....

No other place in the UK Wizarding World is more feared or avoided than Azkaban Prison. It’s loosely inspired by the real-world Alcatraz Island Prison but worse since Azkaban’s guards are pretty much like wolves to take a bite out of their prisoners every now and then. Moreover, the design of the place is just gloomy and a Muggle prison might even be preferable. Even so, Azkaban has housed some of the most powerful and dangerous wizards and witches to exist in the Harry Potter universe....

2018’s Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has just wrapped up, and all of the award winners have been announced. Apple has historically had a significant presence at the festival, but this year represented one of their strongest showings in recent memory. Although the dark mode for OS X Yosemite that Apple previewed onstage at WWDC two weeks ago hasn’t officially made it into any build of Yosemite as of today, developer Hamza Sood has figured out a Terminal command which will let you get a taste of OS X’s dark mode now: Just paste the line below into Terminal, and log out of your account. After logging back in, you’ll see that the Dock, Menu Bar, and corresponding menus all take on the new dark theme....

As the iPhone 8 is rumored to add at least one new finish this year, a new patent describes Apple’s efforts to create a strong, translucent body style. As noted by CNBC, the patent depicts an “optically reflective layer” that makes for a metallic-like casing for smartphones and laptops. As with all patents, this one is a bit vague when it comes to where and how the technology could be implemented, but nevertheless the patent explains the process of combining a reflective, mirror-like layer with the surface of a translucent layer:...

Here’s why Hell On Wheels recast Naomi Bohannon for season 4. Hell On Wheels is an acclaimed AMC Western series that debuted in 2011. Today Apple previewed macOS Catalina and iPadOS, both of which include a new feature called Sidecar. Using an iPad and a Mac, Sidecar allows you to create an extended workspace by turning your iPad into a second, fully interactive display. Both displays can show different content or mirror each other. Apple has provided more detail on the functionality and an initial list of apps that will work seamlessly with Sidecar when it is released to everyone this fall....
