Following the casting of Chris Hemsworth as Hulk Hogan in a biopic, fan art imagines what he’ll look like, with a bonus Chris Evans as Randy Savage. Hogan has certainly led an amazing life, and is arguably the most legendary professional wrestler of all time. “The Hulkster” is a natural choice for a biopic, although judging by internet reactions so far, fans likely weren’t picturing Hemsworth in the leading role. That’s not to say people are upset about the casting, as many see it as an inspired choice....

So, the iPod classic… Today brought us the news of the removal of the iPod click wheel games from the iTunes Store. Even casual observers ask themselves whether that’s another clue of the beleaguered music player heading to the technology graveyard. Last week, reports indicated that both the iPod classic and the nano are heading out to pasture. The current sixth-generation iPod classic has certainly seen better days. It was last refreshed two years ago and Apple had totally ignored it with last Fall’s redesign of the iPod family....

There is no doubt that Hagrid is one of the most beloved characters from the Harry Potter series. It seems there is not a bad bone in his body, and he acts as a real role model and a sounding board for Harry himself throughout the movies. The half-giant and half-human works as the gamekeeper and keeper of keys and grounds for Hogwarts school, and Hagrid, for all his flaws, always does his best by the school and its pupils....

Now, designer Martin Hajek has created mockups imagining what a PRODUCT(RED) iPhone X could look like… The renders imagine an iPhone X in the same red color as last year’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, but this time the device features the glossy glass back finish, as you would expect of the iPhone X....

WarnerMedia Entertainment’s HBO celebrated their Christmas with an image of Henry Cavill’s CG-lip Superman from the increasingly debated and talked about Justice League film. The relationship between HBO and DC seems to be growing at every turn, as the network recently concluded the first season of the critically acclaimed, and audience dividing TV series, Watchmen. Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen has not only found critical acclaim, but has also been a ratings hit for HBO, and the best performer since Big Little Lies....

His Dark Materials is the latest adaptation of Phillip Pullman’s trilogy of the same name, and unsurprisingly, HBO/BBC have made some changes from the original source material. While there is nothing that takes away from the core story, these may be a bit of a surprise to the book purists. Created by Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), the new take on His Dark Materials stars Dafne Keen (Logan) as protagonist Lyra Belacqua, with James McAvoy and Ruth Wilson filling in key roles as Lord Asriel and Mrs Coulter alongside an expansive (and impressive) supporting cast, aiming to bring the books to life....

Since 1987, the name Hellraiser has been synonymous with the extra-dimensional villain lovingly referred to by fans as Pinhead, but the choice to go all-in on the franchise’s main antagonist was a mistake. Over the course of ten movies, Pinhead has gone from the mysterious villain in the shadows to a one-liner dropping main character. The diminishing popularity of the series with both fans and critics can be blamed on quite a few things, but making Hellraiser all about Pinhead is arguably one of them....

iOS 11 introduced a new indoor mapping feature that offers walking directions through a variety of different airports and malls. [slideshow] A user over on The Verge forums did an interesting mock-up of the 4-inch iPhone. The shorter side’s size remains the same, while the longer side is increased (640-by-1152 pixels). Go over to The Verge for a few more screenshots. What do you think? I especially like that extra row of apps on the home screen and the ability to better play widescreen videos. Current apps would need a re-write to take advantage of the extra pixels or else letterboxing would occur, so it is a bit far-fetched....

Facebook has told Gizmodo that it is working on a fix after complaints that its iOS app is continuing to account for high battery usage even when the app is supposed to be sleeping. The company responded after a Medium post by product developer Matt Galligan, who noted that the app was continuing to draw significant amounts of power despite having background app refresh disabled. Others then chipped in on the issue, prompting Facebook’s response....

The Unicode Consortium has outlined all of the new emoji that are on the docket for 2018. This time around, new emoji include figures such as a teddy bear, mango, party face, and at long last, support for redheads… As first reported by Emojipedia, the Unicode Consortium has officially released the 2018 emoji candidate list in beta, which means that tech companies can test and refine the suggestions over the coming months....
