Harry Potter is, of course, the hero of the Wizarding World. He defeated Voldemort as a baby and a teen. He was a genius at Quidditch and Defense Against the Dark Arts. But, he was also a boy. There was magic involved, obviously, and the fate of the world, but Harry was also a boy and a teenager and did some very boy/teenager-y things, including being cruel to some of the people around him....

The prophecy could have easily been made for him, and he, too, was a brave Gryffindor who was instrumental in winning the Battle of Hogwarts and defeating Lord Voldemort. Neville doesn’t get enough credit for everything he did throughout his Hogwarts career, a time in which he grew and showed more progress than many other young witches and wizards....

Apple Arcade is a new subscription service that offers an entire catalog of games for $4.99 a month. Games can be accessed on multiple devices and shared with up to six family members through iCloud Family Sharing. Klout for iPhone just pushed out version 1.8, and the update notably adds…wait for it…Passbook support! The changelog mentioned users can show off a “Klout Card” equipped with their name, photo, and score to brag about their social influence. Yeah. Just what the world needed. Aside from Passbook support, the app is newly optimized for the iPhone 5. Users are also now notified of eligible Klout perks and can claim them right from their iPhone....
In the world of YA fantasy adaptations, one of the most disappointing has always been The Golden Compass. Not because it was downright awful, but because it managed to make Lyra’s beautiful world of mysticism, witches, cowboys, and spirit creatures kinda boring. That’s almost worse than getting a really awful adaptation. But only almost, because we saw Eragon and things definitely could be worse. With HBO’s new His Dark Materials series, hopefully they can redeem previous adaptations....
