Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus will be talking Death Stranding during a conversation hosted by The Game Awards’ Geoff Keighley. The moderated discussion will take place at the annual Tribeca Film Festival in New York on Thursday, April 25 at 6pm ET, and will be heavily focused on the upcoming game from Kojima Productions.

Death Stranding is one of the most heavily anticipated game releases in recent memory, and it doesn’t even have an official release date yet. People who have gone hands-on with Death Stranding or discussed it with Kojima have been hyping the new IP as revolutionary, and from what fans have seen, it’s definitely a Kojima game at heart, right down to the confusing, almost ethereal imagery of some of its cinematics.

Kojima and Reedus, who are extremely good friends outside of the production of Death Stranding, will be having a lengthy discussion about the game while having it moderated by Keighley. The talk is being described as a way for Kojima to “discuss his boundary-pushing new game,” and Keighley has the games journalism chops to make sure the conversation is as insightful as it is interesting. The event will be hosted as part of the Tribeca Performing Arts Center’s “Tribeca Talks: Directors Series” and tickets are available right now here.

Kojima has had a noted interest in film for his entire career, and frequently comments on movies he’s fond of on his personal Twitter account. Many of Kojima’s games have a number of Easter Eggs related to his favorite films as well, so the famed creative mind behind Metal Gear and Zone of the Enders won’t be out of place at the Tribeca Film Festival. In fact, he’ll be surrounded by friends: beyond Reedus, Guillermo del Toro will be hosting a talk just two hours after Kojima’s, and the two have been friends for some time ever since they tried to partner together to launch the ill-fated P.T. horror game.

Given how little we know about Death Stranding and how friendly the three participants in this discussion are, there’s a strong chance we get some new information out of the Tribeca Film Festival’s conversation. Tickets will likely sell out quickly for those interested, as Kojima is a popular figure in the games industry and Reedus will be a draw for nearly everyone planning on attending. Those lucky enough to attend might get more than just a glimpse into the minds of one of the industry’s most creative presences, though, with a genuine reveal of a new element of Death Stranding seeming quite likely given all those in attendance.
